Vancouver, BC - The Alcuin Society is very pleased to announce that its fifth Robert R. Reid Award and Medal will be presented to Stan Bevington, of Coach House Books (Toronto), on Friday. March 30th.
John Maxwell, Assistant Professor, Canadian Centre for Studies in Publishing, will give a talk entitled Coach House Press as a Digital Pioneer. Following this, the Society will present its lifetime achievement award to Mr. Bevington.
Mr. Bevington will be in Vancouver as one of the judges in the Society's 30th annual book design competition, The Alcuin Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada, which takes place the following day.

The Alcuin Society is a Vancouver based non-profit society for the support and appreciation of books. In addition to the annual Book Design Competition, the Society publishes a journal, Amphora, and organizes workshops, lectures, exhibitions and field visits on various aspects of the book.
